We are thrilled to unveil the two visionary projects selected for the 3DBigDataSpace Outreach Synergy Call. These winners were chosen for their innovative use of 3D technology to bring European cultural heritage to life through immersive digital storytelling.

The Golden Bond: Unfolding the Kapulukaya Hoard
This project transforms numismatics into a narrative journey. By utilizing high-fidelity 3D modeling and Augmented Reality (AR), users can explore Roman gold coins with unprecedented detail. The experience allows the public to trace the historical route of the hoard between Antioch and Ancyra, bridging the gap between ancient currency and modern digital interaction.
The Ruppendorf Time Machine: Decades of History
Focusing on the architectural evolution of the Ruppendorf moated castle, this project offers a profound spatio-temporal exploration. Visitors can navigate through seven distinct historical periods, virtually entering sections of the castle that have been physically inaccessible for decades. It is a true "time machine" experience that restores public access to hidden history.
Both projects will now enter the development phase, utilizing the 3DBigDataSpace toolset to create public-facing applications. Stay tuned for the official demos scheduled for release in June 2026!
