The European Commission’s call for evidence on the upcoming AI strategy for the Cultural and Creative Sectors needs your input! Europeana Foundation encourages CH institutions to respond to the call by 11 September.
The Europeana Initiative has called upon the European Commission to build a clear vision for Public AI into the upcoming AI strategy for the Cultural and Creative Sectors – by grounding it in public values and safeguarding the public interest.
Europeana is collaborating closely with colleagues across Europe to advocate for a fair and reciprocal Public AI strategy, one that endorses ‘AI for Culture, Culture for AI’. It has given an official response to the call.
It is now urging cultural heritage institutions and professionals to give their feedback by midnight CEST on 11 September 2026, to join it in actively advocating for Europe’s cultural heritage.
