CARARE is organising a workshop to define a practical approach for metadata to 3D objects, which will be held on the 21st September as part of the VAST conference in Paris.

During its project lifetime, CARARE will add 3D and VR objects to Europeana and define the methodology, workflows and standards for this class of objects within Europeana. This workshop aims to define metadata for 3D and VR objects produced in cultural heritage organising, with a particular focus on its use within Europeana. It will start with presentations from experts in the domain of 3D and digitisation, and allows time for participants to discuss the proposed metadata description in focus groups to fine tune and validate the schema.
